Born in Lynwood, California (same month & day as Pa...Expand for more
ris Hilton). Lynwood is famous for Weird Al Yankovick & numerous Starlets doing prison time & the oldest McDonalds. Moved to Anchorage, Alaska in Sept. 1953. My Grandparents owned a cold storage plant in Anchorage and a store/garage across from the Portage Train Station. Went all through school with a bunch of great kids, many of whom went on to do some great things. Got drafted in 1972 after graduation. Served in the US Navy from 1972 thru 1976. Got back to Alaska just in time for the Pipeline to be completed. In that time Alaska went from a Red Neck State back to a Wild West kind of place. Attended College and took Business & Aviation classes. I finished my Pilot training in 1984 after starting in 1971. Began flying professionally in 1984. This was an adventure. I lived in Kaktovik, Fairbanks, Nome, Kotzebue, St. Marys, Unalakleet, Bethel, Cold Bay, Dillingham, King Salmon, Kenai, Palmer, Wasilla, Talkeetna & now Homer. I have been to about 100 airports around Alaska over the years. I had a beautiful daughter in Feb. of 1989, Rachel. She is now attending college in Troy, New York. During that time I helped raise some foster kids. Three of whom visit me regularly to this day. With 10,000 hours under my belt I went back to college in 1990 when Mark Air went out of business and obtained an Airframe & Power Plant rating and now have an Inspection Authorization.".
