James's Story
Life
I spent four years in the Army, April 1964 to April 1968. After Basic training at Fort Ord, CA, I went to radio school at Fort Monmouth, NJ. My overseas assignments were at Camp Drake, Tokyo, Japan, and at Torii Station, Okinawa. I never got any closer to Viet Nam, thank God.

nautical Radio as a radio operator. This was followed by six years in various fast food management jobs. My current wife and I managed a self-storage facility in Maryland for 10 years. She now works in HIV/AIDS research, and I am retired.
I have a total of five step-children from four marriages and six step-grandchildren.
