Life What can one say after so many years. Finshed SCHS. Attended CC, AA in Lib Arts. Got married, (K. Cottrell)(21 yrs).Went to work for PG&E in San Mateo. Joined the Army, MOS Drill Instructor LA. Had a lovely daughter, Lauri. She now has a daughter. Returned to PG&E, became an Engin Est. Adopted a son, Scott. He has twins on they (10/12) Attended SJSU, BS Bus Ed (MGMT). Found my biological family after Lou & Elva (Mom & Dad) passed on. 2 brothers & a sister, all older. Met my mother as well. Father had deceased 2 yrs prior but found out a couple of co-workers had gone to SCHS with him. My bio-name is Fred Feakes. Turns out I knew one of my brothers when I was growing up as well as went fishing with my Grandfather. Was unaware of the relation at the time. Divorced/Remarried (88), (S. Johnson)(Saratoga High)(17 yrs. Inherited 2 lovely daughters as a result. Retired Feb/02. Divorced again. Now I'm persuing my avocation as a singer/songwriter. Rich Olive (SCHS) was my part-time singing partner as one of The Byelow Singers up until 2005. Awhile back we had the honor of performing in an old-fashioned hootenanny along with Randy Sparks and The New Christy Minstrels. We mainly did benefits, retirement homes, county fairs & the Santa Cruz Follies. Steve Reider (PG&E) is my writing partner who just re...Expand for more
leased his 1st CD-One Way On A New Set Of Tracks. Have performed solo as a folksinger in Juneau, AK for the past 3 years. Travelled some, cruises, Tahiti, Alaska, etc. Been with the Santa Cruz Follies since 1999. Found my current relationship partner when she came to the Follies in 2006. We have now become the Follies song & dance couple with numbers like "The Gun" from Chicago, "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Love You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life" from A Royal Wedding, and the "Money Song" from Cabaret. Next year (2011) we'll be doing "A Couple Of Swells" from Easter Parade and "Puttin' on the Ritz" from Blue Skies. Currently focusing on my music as a soloist & travel business specializing in cruising. Had Open Heart twice. Once in Mar of 2011 for Mitral valve repair which didn't hold. 2nd was in Jan 2012 to replace the valve. Been going strong since with the exception of a few minor incidents. Meds pretty much have everything under control but I also consider everyday a gift and a blessing. Amazing how soemthing like that can change your perspective, i.e., don't allow a day go by without telling those you love that you appreciate them in your life. Many songs about Live Like You Were Dying and don't spend your day trying to stay alive to the point you're no longer living.
