James's Story

Life I have enjoyed life since high school. The day after graduation I left for Montana and for engineering school. I spent 28 years in Billings & Bozeman, Montana being an engineer and raising three kids. I am proud of my kids. Two boys graduated from the Air force Academe with one in F15 training and the other pitched for the Boston Red Sox while in the Air Force until they cut the program in 2004. Go figure. The daughter is a math and physics major at St Olaf and plays a mean sax. As you know, they are smarter than me. As a bonus, they are really nice guys. That is why I am proud of them. In 1996 I left Montana and went to live in Anchorage. I own an...Expand for more
engineering consulting firm, which has given me the opportunity to see most of this great state and meet some wild and wacky people. Have you ever had raw whale blubber? I am in to aviation like the rest of the state. I have built my own plane (Long EZ) and own two others. Skiing, hunting and fishing are world class here. The winters are long but the summers are the best accept being in Hawaii in the winter. I wish you all the best if I do not see you in this life time. I did have a chance to see some of you at the 10 year and 20 year reunion. When a person has been gone from the Fargo area for a long time it is a strange thing to think back to high school.
