Started as simultaneous translator (Spanish - Eng...Expand for more
lish) for IBM in Madrid, Spain. Moved to Burroughs Corp and was eventually transferred back to Atlanta Customer Education Center where I was a Senior Computer Instructor.
Joined Control Data in 1980 and was promoted very rapidly ending up as VP in charge of a large insurance company in Dallas Texas. When the company was bought out by Travelers, I took a buyout and started a consulting firm that worked in insurance company M&A, systems and finance. In 1993, I joined USF&G in Baltimore as Finance Officer for Small Business. When USF&G was bought out by St. Paul,in 1996, I took a severance package and joined Zurich insurance. I ran a number of divisions for Zurich until 1999.
I invested in a Pre-IPO dot com in 1999 and ultimately went to work for one of our cliets, XL capital as VP Strategy... and that's where I am today... a strategic officer in financial services and a part time professor of strategy and marketing.
