James's Story
School
Moved around quite a bit due to father being in the military. Ended with of all places Turtle Creek, PA. This is where I call home. This is where I made some of the friendships in life. Enjoyed and have many memories of high school.
College
After graduating high school in 1979, went to the Univ. of Pittsburgh for 2 years.
Workplace
Worked in Miami Fl as an Operations Manager from 1991 to 2006 for Montenay Power Corp. Lived in Wilmington, NC for a year and a half as an Operations Manager (for the county of New Hanover) at their waste to energy facility. Recently moved to...Expand for more
Carlisle, PA working in Harrisburg with COVANTA ENERGY, still in the waste to energy business. Burn trash and haul ash.
Military
Spent 8 years in the navy (83-91), machinist mate in the nuclear field. Spent 3 years on the U.S.S. Mississippi CGN-40 and then 3 years on the U.S.S. South Carolina CGN-37. Enjoyed my life experiences with all that I had the privilege of working with. Got to see many a foreign places during my 8 year stint, France, Spain, Italy, Norway, Egypt, Germany, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Puerto Rico, Israel, Cuba, the Red Sea, Rock of Gilbraltor. Served in Gulf War I.
