I pretty much kept to myself, my best friend was Vicki Lawrence, I was part of ROTC and I worked at the beer distributer over on pine aire and 5th ave. I left for the USAF in Nov. 1981 , I made it thru basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, graduated in Feb.82 left for tech school at Chanute AFB, ILL where we were up to our waist in snow. s back home. I really hated having to leave the military. I met my husband in the military during basic training we got married at the end of 82, we have 3 beautiful children. My oldest is a teacher, my son is in the US Navy , and my youngest was in USAF, l am very proud of all of them. I live in Jersey now and hoping to move down to N.C. once my husband retires in about 2 years. Im in the medical field working as a medical assistant In Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. I love what I do, I love helping others.
