Jamie's Story
After high school I attended college in Minneapolis for one year. Studied Fashion Merchandising and Business Management. I was always interested in being a Buyer for a major store. I worked in the retail industry since I was 15 and it just seemed right. Until one day,I was managing the store, a dedicated customer told me I needed to apply for a job as a Mortgage Title Closer. I took her advise and did it. Worked in that field for a little over a year. When the real estate market hit rock bottom, I applied at Northwest Airlines. Got hired in 1988 and just took the early retirement option. I am now enjoying time off with my 3 children until I figure out what I want to do next.
I did return to college in 2006 to finish my degree. It was tough, I chose the online route and it was worth it.

as married for 7 years to their father. No, he wasn't from Coon Rapids. He is a southern boy from North Carolina. We were divorced in 2000 and I have been a single parent ever since. The girls do see their father regularly, he is a great person and wonderful dad.
While working for the airline, I traveled many places and made many wonderful friends all over the world. It is a great benefit to be able to take a weekend and fly to the east/west coast for lunch or dinner. I still have my flying passes and that is such a bonus for me and my girls.
I have 3 sisters all living in MN. They are my best friends. We all have children and I am about to become a Great Aunt. That is very exciting. I love babies.
My parents are both living and well, they reside in Andover, MN. I do get to drive by the old high school often.
