Jamie's Story
Life
I just got a new job at Microsoft working in the College Recruiting department. I love it so much I don't even mind the long hours. I never would've guessed I'd be working here if you'd have told me that 5 or 10 years ago, but I'm so happy I am :)
I just started volunteering with S.A.F.E., a horse rescue in the area and I'm very excited about that. I am also moved out of the city so I that I could keep my horse at home. Hopefully someday I'll have the ability to take in foster horses that we rescue. I don't know how feasible it will be but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can work it out.
I also practice Bikram Yoga 6 or 7 days a week. I LOVE it. Its absolutely amazing and has totally changed my life!
School

Seattle University in the Business Economics program. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with that though, and my job in recruiting made me realize I wanted to move into a position on the tech side at MSFT so I decided to go back and get a degree in Management Information Systems from WSU. It would have been nice to know that before paying the crazy tuition at SU... But oh well, live and learn :)
Once I am finished with that I hope to land a program manager position at MSFT and then I will start working to complete my masters in Computer Science. Right now I'm leaning toward UW or Stanford so I'm trying to keep my GPA as close to a 4.0 as I can despite working full time!
