After graduating from Newmarket District High Scjhool in 1973, I returned to my country of origin, Norway, and completed my military service in the Infantry in Northern-Norway. ears before joining the Norwegian Diplomatic Service. I began my diplomatic career with a focus on the Arabian Gulf and had postings in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. I also served in London before returning to Oslo where I became Adviser on Balkan Affairs, later Director for Western Balkan Affairs. I served as Ambassador to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Hercegovina) and currently as Ambassador to Kosovo and Albania.
