Jan's Story
Life
I left school early, I had to miss a lot to help out at home, so I did not graduate. I quit in the last of the 10th. grade. I got my GED through Cypress Fairbanks ISD, I took my Emergency Medical Tec. corse at Tomball HS. I got my Medical Assistant Degree at Brighton HS. I got married & divorced, married Travis Long (FFA President) We had a beautiful daughter. We named her Shelly Anne, She was born in 8-1973. We left New Caney and moved to Nacadoches then Henderson, Texas. We divorced & I remarried to Robert Jackson we had a son born in Houston,9-1979, We named him Steven Anthony. After another broken marriage, I thought It (marriage) was'nt for me, But for me the fourth time was the charm! I've been very happily married now for 21 years, Steve & I now have a grand girl Breanna she's 6 & grand son Ryan He's 4, which we will spoil rotten! HA HA HA ! Thats the job for me ! We live up north now & I can say "ALL MY EXES LIVE IN TEXAS" ! HA HA! We spend time sailing or paddling around the "Great Lakes. I still hope to have my own horse farm someday, when my ship comes in !

I've had lots of jobs,I've been a waitress,an office worker,a printer,a painter,a roofer, I learned to repair heavy duty truck scales,I managed a Kwik Kopy,I ran my own wrecker service(had 2 trucks),was an EMS dispatcher,Volenteered with the largest VFD in Houston. I also was an EMT. I put out many fires. I've delivered 3 babies, and rescued many drowning kids! I must admit the best job I had was being a Police dispatcher, It was great fun telling cops where to go!It was really exiciting, However nothing is as rewarding as seeing a person show up for their first riding lesson scared of a big ole horse, an watch them gain the confidence they need to ride, They leave with a smile & can't wait to do it again! I had lots of Fun being a MOM, a PTA parent,a girl scout & boy scout leader. I've been a madical assisant, a cashier, and a lifeguard ! I can drive a car, truck, forklift, firetruck, ambulance, bulldozer, tracter, snow mobile, motorcycle, schoolbus, a team of 4 horses , and my sweet husband Steve crazy! Right now I'm working with disabled people, & horse backriding skills.
