Jan's Story

Life In 2003, I retired after 22 years active duty service with the Navy. What an adventure! I currently live in the Washinton DC Metro area trying to figure out what I really want to be when I grow up. I currently work for a defense contractor, but I'm looking for the next adventure. I'm divorced, no kids, no pets, fancy free, and I love to travel. I want to see the other half of the world that I haven't visited yet. Milit...Expand for more
ary My 22 year Navy career certainly was an adventure! I met people and made great friends from all over the world. The Navy opened my eyes to the great big world, the diversity, the different cultures, and, that, basically, people the world over just want the same things out of life...happiness, family, joy, freedom, sense of safety, laughter. I traveled from Hawaii to Iceland to Australia to Canada and everywhere else in between.
