Jan's Story
Hey, just hanging out and doing my thing. I am a speech language pathologist working at a hospital.
I updated this with some new pictures. I do not look like I am in high school-hey, age happens. lol I have the middle age spread!
I hope everyone that sees this has a blessed day.
I always wanted to be a speech therapist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea. As it turns out, they were wrong!
To relax and let off steam, I like to drive in my car. I still love to go to amusement parks and ride a roller coaster or go to a game. All that screaming and hollering lets off a lot of steam. I don't move around like I should but still lift wts every once in a while.
The wildest thing I did in school (that I want to name) was leave school everyday and go to the bakery to get something to eat. I went with Sheila (oops hope you mind me naming you, just won't give your last name) in the 11th and 12th grade. We never got caught.
My hero now is Diane keaton. I think she is a sexy lady for her age and someone positive to aspire to emulate.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise?
My biggest surprise is that I tend to keep going during the good and bad times. I found I had strength I didn't know I had and even though it can be hard, its harder to quit.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to charity, then spend the rest on me, me and me!.
One of the questions is what happened to my first crush? He is well, successful, and happy living in Eastman with his kids. He knows who he is. He was a wonderful boyfriend, generous, loving, and I should have married him. If you read this, sorry I was so dumb.
My best friend would tell you I'm sane, thoughtful, and a good friend , but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as someone who needs to be in a looney bin.

tuation and changed my life dramatically. If anyone at school had known, they would have seen me in a totally different light and would have understood me better.
My oldest and dearest friend is Nancy. We met at 15 and it was friendship -real and lasting. We clicked because we liked the same things, she was generous and would do anything for me, supported me without question, and I would her. We kept each other secrets, sorrows, insecurities, heartbreaks, joys and our new loves, and we managed to continue backing each other as each other's biggest fan since.
If I could go back once in time, it would be in either Nancy's pinto or my beige vega driving around town with two other boys I won't name, drinking strawberry hill, listening to Johnnt Winter, and driving around the dairy queen. Ah youth
What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I would hope that it would be that I a better, friendlier, kinder person than ever before.
My first job was at the shirt factory working 4-8 pm after school, where I got paid 1.85 hr to sew on collars. What I remember most about it is it was a boring, not well paying job.
Share a childhood memory you'll never forget. Living on 5th avenue with some of the best childhood friends and adventures a child could ever hope to have. Going to the "big rock" to meet, going fishing under the road through a drainage pipe, putting fresh water oysters in the water meter and they lived for years and got huge. Playing softball everyday all day long, building treehouses, playing army in the wooded area behind our house, so many kids to play with. We got in trouble stealing crabapples, running out in front of cars just to do it, and sneaking out the window at night so we could still play longer. We disected frogs and even put one in a jar half buried so we could watch him decay (yuck!). Our moms made us move him because he began to stink. It was an idyllic childhood- one to treasure forever.
