Jan's Story
I got married in 1974 and have three biological children and one adopted. They range in age from 35 to 25. We moved to Tampa, Florida, (no snow down here!) when my husband got transfered. After 20 years of marriage, I got divorced in 1995. I'm a very proud mom and here is why, my oldest son is in the Air Force, and married to a great woman. My only daughter is married to a film maker. My middle son is working as an assistant store manager and helping his fiancee' raise her younger brother. My youngest son is working at Carmax and using his degree from NASCAR Tech.
I finally got my BS degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing/Advertising. I just waited till my kids were in college as well. But I was the one that graduated Cum Laude in the family. I have just started to...Expand for more
get my Masters degree!! (Rather scary at my age!)
I got caught in the economic crunch and after 4 years with a market research firm was laid off.
I spend my down time hanging out with my friends, going to NASCAR races, gardening (growing my own veggies), and reading biographies. I just started making jewelry as well.
Those that knew me in school probably remember me as rather quiet and at times even shy. Unless I was at a wrestling meet!) BOY has that changed!!!
