Jan is from Venice, Florida. She is a widow. . Her schools include Venice High School and the University of South Florida in Tampa. She is retired from advertising sales at the Venice Gondolier Sun in 2012 and Tupperware Sales as an Executive Manager in 2001.

Jan enjoys traveling (use to travel from May - October with late husband in a motorhome all around the US) Plays pickleball and Golf and volunteers for several non profits in the Venice area in her spare time.
