Jan's Story

Life I married Louie Kuhar in June 66 and was divorced in June 70. Then married Randy Hofferber, yes one of our classmates, and was married until Dec 85. I am presently married to someone from WA state and live in Des Moines, a small town 10 miles south of Seattle nestled on Puget Sound. Louie and I had 2 children Kerri and Don. Randy and I had 3 daughters, Christine, Cindy, and Kelli. I have been blessed with 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.. I am working for a company called MacDonald-Miller, which is an Encompass company (mechanical). I am in accounting, (hard to believe, since math was not my best subject). Paul and I are season ticket holders for the Seattle Mariners. I'm an avid baseball fan. Something I got addicted to when living in P...Expand for more
hoenix. I am going to 24 hour fitness 3 to 4 times a week and am in pretty good shape for my age. Last week I went whitewater rafting on the Methow river in Eastern WA. That is one of my favorite things to do. My husband will retire in 2 years, but I plan on working for a while. I love my job and have formed a lifestyle that I am very lucky to have.. Well since then, Paul retired and we moved to Dallas, OR so I could be nearer to some grandchildren. I tried retirement for 2 years, and out of sheer boredom returned to work. I thought working at a casino would be a fun way to fill my time, and that was 11 years ago. I'm still at Spirit Mountain Casino as a Cage Lead. I love my job, but plan on retiring within the coming year. I was recently widowed.
