Jan's Story
It's been a wonderful life. I married Bill Parmenter, class of 67 in 1972. We raised our son Sean, who married his High School SweetHeart, Therisa, and has one son, Lucien. We adopted an 8 year old girl from Luthiania in 2006, she is the one in the picture. There are many more child like her that need a loving family. I can hook you up!
My husband and I returned to college in 1978. He received a BA in Bible. I received a BS in Psychology and Sociology in 1983 and then went on to get my MSW in 1987. I began a doctorial degree at Smith College in 1998. Yes I am a Social Worker. Sometimes the rough things you go through in life lead you to help others who are stuggling with similiar issues.

I have traveled to a number of European Countries and made friends around the world. A friend that has stayed with me all these years is Anne Wilford. We see each other a couple times a year since she is living in CA. It is through her and her brother John that I met my husband Bill.
Bill and I have been married now 38+ years. We have lived in GR and in Springfield Missouri about an equal amount of years now. We both came to the Lord in 1975 and have never turned back. God has blessed us with our two children, a wonderful daughter in law, a beautiful grandson and many experiences I would never have thought I would have back in 1969.
So now I live a relatively quiet but busy life with Bill, Oksana, and 4 dogs. We enjoy gardening, fishing, and family.
God has blessed us greatly over these years. He has given me all the desires of my heart. JAN
