Jana's Story
Hello fellow classmates!
Well, as some of you may already know, I married shortly after high school to David Carter(from Austin). We lived in Austin or actually the suburb of Oak Hill for a couple of years and then moved to Idaho. We were there(Pocatello) about 5 years. We had our first son(Nick)there and decided grandchildren should be near family, so we moved back to Austin. Shortly thereafter we had our 2nd son(Derek). To make a long story short, I only had the two boys, divorced in '83 and built my home near my family outside of Bertram. I married Larry Ard in '86 and we still live in the same home. arily in the insurance industry since high school. My husband and I owned our own restaurant/gift shop in Burnet for several years but finally sold it before it killed us both. My husband has also been in insurance sales for almost 20 years. We both love to travel when we can. Just returned from Europe where we took a cruise to Italy for a week and the 2nd week we spent touring a few countries via train(Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany & England). I would do it again but only one country at a time, thank you! Right now I am semi-retired. Just taking a break to spend time with family and my two beautiful grandchildren.
