Jane's Story
Life
Hi! After leaving Riverside, Calif, I moved with my family to El Paso, Texas, where I graduated from High School. My Dad was transferred to Great Falls, Montana so I attended the U of MT from 1957-61 when I graduated with a degree in Elem Ed. I married my college sweetheart and we moved to Virginia and then NC while he was in the Marine Corps. Two daughters were born there. We returned to Montana in 1965 where we ranched until 1989. A third daughter was born in MT. I didn't start teaching until my kids were all in school in 1976. I taught 4th and then 2nd grade for 25 years, retiring in 2001. My husband passed away 5 years ago and so I am plannin...Expand for more
g a different future than I had imagined. I love to travel (went on a cruise this spring and to Japan as a sister city chaperone this summer.) My daughters live all over the place so I travel to visit them also. I've taken up golf and love it. It's funny isn't it we all really are that same person inside that we've always been!
College
How lucky for me to have attended the U. on Montana! I still keep in touch with several of my sorority sisters and others. Missoula was a beautiful setting and our campus pop. was small. I was lucky enough to meet my future husband, Dick Chaney there also. Many fond memories, games, classes, Aquamaids, (beer) etc.etc.
