Jane's Story

After leaving Scripps I worked at Orange Public Library for two years while my home situation stabilized and then traveled to Israel to work on a kibbutz and learn Hebrew. Met Mr Wonderful (so I thought) and we got married on the island of Cyprus and then returned to California. Our travels weren't done and when my daughter was 3 months old we moved to his home town of Montreal Canada. Wound up traveling back to Israel in an attempt to save the marriage and t...Expand for more
hen my daughter and I returned to California in June 1977 - just in time for the 10-year reunion. Since then I've been a single mom working a wide variety of jobs and raised my daughter without child support. I'm proud to say my daughter is a teacher in the Orange School District and married to her high school sweetheart who is an X-ray technician. I am now retired from OC Social Services and once again working at Orange Public Library, but at the Taft Branch.

No wind without fire. This one is called Canyon #2. Very close, but no danger to me or my"kids" except from the smoke. I'm staying in as much as possible.
I said it was close, yes? This is looking West, away from the fire. Everything's ok here, I'm just trying not to breathe that stuff.
I went on a short drive to one of my favorite parks. I thought the sign was symbolic of its current condition after the fire. It is half burnt. I couldn’t see inside the park, but what I could see was dad, including at leas
This year’s costume - Rosie the Reviter. (After Sadie the puppy messed my hair)
My Veteran brother leaving the Repose in 1969. He was a Corpsman and saw some horrible stuff, but also saved a few lives. Not everyone can say that during a war.
Watching Puppy 🐶 Pals with the grand puppy today. I guess she recognizes animated pups if they make the right noise, but no interest once they start speaking.
(The bathroom is about 6 ft behind where I was standing). Such a busy day with JessIca and Ryan Norquist’s pup.
Introductions - Sadie, family; family, this is Sadie
There was an office party at the library this morning. This is all the Pages with our sups and manager.
Pine Street in Old Town Orange is shining once again. This home was exceptional, but my favorite is still the home that displays a Hanukkah menorah because of the fellowship and tolerance they show.
Merry Christmas

I made it. Here's the welcoming committee. My deepest thanks to my friend Georgia for being so kind. I wish this photo could let you hear the little bird and animal sounds all around me.
