Jane's Story
After graduation from St. Johns in 1965 I attended Kent State and also got married. I married Gary Carr from Austinburg and we had 4 children, Chip, Donny, Paula and Carrie. After the kids were all in school I began working at Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in Ashtabula. I was an Unemployment Claims Examiner and I really loved the job. My son Chip suffered an injury in a football accident and died in 1982, he was a senior at Ashtabula High School at the time. My husband was transfered the following year to Indiana. This is how the family ended up in the State of Indiana. This is a nice state to raise a family, but I still love Northeast Ohio of course, but Indiana is my home now. rict Offices, I began working for Central States Enterprises, in New Haven. I have worked here for 14 years now, its a great company to work for and I really enjoy my job,I do the human resources work for the company. I am remarried after a divorce, I married Dave Linker from Indiana, between my job, house, gardening, community work, children and grandchildren (13) and 3 great grandsons it keeps me very busy.
I enjoyed my years at St. Johns and I enjoy keeping in touch with some of my old friends from school, its a lot of fun to remember the crazy things we did in school, and laugh at how seriously we took some things. Life takes so many strange twists and turns its a good thing we dont know all of what is ahead for us. Hope everyone is doing well and is happy with their lives. Jane(Ann)
