Jane's Story
Happily married for, omigod, 42 years! I have a recurring role on Somebody, Somewhere on HBO Max., Also, I have done lots of commercials and lots of theatre. Met a famous and amazing acting teacher in LA and became his assistant. Watching him teach, I fell in love with teaching, hated LA, moved back to the Midwest, Chicago, opened an acting school which is still going (I sold it in 1999) and founded a small theatre. Split with the theatre and became a location casting director. Cast lots of commercials and movies and TV, Oprah's stuff, Groundhog Day, Fargo, etc. Went back to school, got my MFA in directing when I was 52, got a job as head of acting at Louisiana State University, and when Katrina hit, I decided it was time to leave. Got a job at The Theatre School at DePaul University, moved back to Chicago, and bought a two flat. Retired to a little 'farmette' in the southwest corner of Michigan. Love to travel, get my dental work doen in Costa Rica. We never had children, but our puppies are quite sufficient.

ey were right.
I relax by cooking and by doing genealogy.
The wildest thing I ever did in high school was to take an encore at Toppers. Man, was Ganos pissed. I really didn't care, didn't think Ganos was worth her pay.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, quiet time, and my calendar to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My heroes are Buddha, Stanislavski, Ernest Becker, Martin Luther KIng, and Susan B Anthony.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is nancy stern, because I loved her very much and miss her still..
The biggest surprise in my life is that I married so happily. My family has a divorcing habit going back to 1830.
My first crush, was not only a crush. Dennis Hirschbein and I were in love, He fought against being gay for years, and finally came out of the closet in college. We never fell out of love, but nature has it way. Dennis died about fifteen years ago, and I still miss him. This love let me know that we could love many people in many ways.
In 10 years, I hope to be teaching. I'm going to get there by staying alive.
okay, they ask too many questions for me to finish, gotta go to work!
