Jane's Story
February 2009, Just came back from California where I had the pleasure of teaching at the World most reknowned balloon entertainer's convention. What an honor to share with entertainers from 12 countries my style of performance. Classes were packed. In addition to all that fun My sculpture of Father Time and Baby New Year won first place in Betallic Balloons World Holiday Contest. I am very blessed and grateful. Returning home I found messages from a company who wishes to hire me for their Las Vegas balloon courture show and convention. I have an exciting and busy life. Write and tell me what's up in your neck of the woods.
Fall 2008 Wow, business has really been changing this year. I am still performing and I have made quite a niche` for myself as a improv story teller who uses balloon art in the production of the tales that I weave together. Back in August I perfromed in Las Vegas were I placed third in a performance competition for my shows. If I understand correctly I am considered to be amoung the World's top balloon entertainers. I will be traveling quite a bit...Expand for more
in 2009 to teach at Entertainer's and Decorator's Conventions.
A major Balloon Company as offered to sponsor me. Thank you Betallic Balloons. They will be sending me on many great adventures. I am blessed. I have been asked to consider working overseas this year for festivals. What an amazing year.
In the marraige department Bob and I just celebrated 13 years. Thank you Bob for loving me. Thank you for being fun and so encouraging.
In the area of Motherhood my wonderful daughter, Lilly, turns seven this January. She is performing, too. She loves school and does very well. Thankfully she doesn't seem to have my learning problems. I home-schooled Lilly as a toddler to give her an early start. She reads on a forth grade level and seems to like Math-yes you heard me right- Math very much.
As for friendships, I am so blessed with a several really neat girlfriends that I meet thourgh ballooning. We are called the "Girls of Ghoul" and the Funtastic Four. What a blessing.
Best wishes, Be well, Happy New Year,
~Janie~
