Jane's Story
Remember our protest against the dresscode that led to the big change? We were allowed to wear pantsuits...UGH. When I tell that to my sons they think I'm really, really old. In fact it was the beginning of our protest for women's equal rights. We lived history. My graduation yearbook states I was undecided in my future and that was an understatement. oices and the path wasn't clear or easy. I was independent at 18, worked and attended school part-time. Married at age 21, still married for 35 yrs and have 4 grown sons. Masters degree in Nursing and licensed Family nurse practitioner, (one of the first in NY). Hardest part of life is balancing work and family life. Once I turned 55, I vowed to focus on myself and the rest of my life. I like an adventure and traveling. So now I'm being a little selfish and focusing on having fun.
