Jane's Story
I have moved west my entire life. I grew up in Queens, moved to Manhattan, then Bergen County, NJ, then Morris County, NJ and now I live in central PA outside a town called Middleburg. My kids call it Middle-of-nowhere-burg.
What have I learned from my kids? I thought I knew everything and now I'm raising seven almost single handedly. Now I know that I know very little.
To be truly happy I would be exactly where I am. It would be nice to see my husband more, I've told him I want to beam myself into his trailer in Baghdad at night and come home to the kids in the morning. I guess it would also be cool if my teens ...Expand for more
did what I asked when I ask and understood what I was trying to say whether i made sense or not.
My current age is 47. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old. I was so completely wrong.
When I grow up I want to be a college professor. I'm almost there. My coursework is almost done and then it's dissertation time!!!
Still wearing jeans and T shirts. I call it my uniform.
I share my home with 6 kids, a dog, three cats, a goldfish, a tadpole and we just got 20 chicks, but they live outside, and I find that happening.
In 10 years, I hope to be thinner. I'm going to get there by praying.
