Jane's Story

Hi everyone, For the past twelve years I have served in the New Mexico House of Representative, and will enter my thirteenth year in January. It really been a great adventure. I serve on two standing committees, Transportation, Business and Industry, we work well with one another unlike our National folk in Washington, .and no we do not party all night long in Santa Fe during the Legislative Session, mostly because we are all to old. (smile). I have carried some really good legislation, The New $400,000,000. Union Pacific Rail Refueling Facility in Santa Theresa, NM, Angel Investment, and County Investment Law to name a few, all were passed and sign by our Governors. y parent, my dad and he is 92, that's a whole different adventure (smile). He is still very active, and sometime really funny. I guess that's what I get for not having any children. For the most part I really have a God Blessed life, I have a great husband of 26 years and I travel around the country and sometime the world with both business and politics. So that's what I have kinda sorta been up to recently anyway. I often run into many of our classmates and we always end up discussing AHS and how great it is to be a "BULLDOG" Now, I am completing my term as the national president of NCSL Women Legislative Network. It's Aug. 2, 2015 I am in Seattle, Washington. Been exciting, so off I go onto the next adventure, (smile).
