Jane's Story
Life
I have been living in the midwest since 1973 when I married a farmer and left Long Island. I divorced in 1978-he couldn't decide if he was married to me or his mother-so I decided!! I re-married in 1980 and have 2 children, Eric (1981) and Lori (1982). I divorced their Dad in 1991. I have worked at my local library since 1990. My daughter is a Librarian also. I am an avid quilter (sell many of my creations) and enjoy flower gardening in season. I try to squeeze some reading & quilting in every day! Life has been good, always busy and never bored!! Went back to Smithtown/St. James Dec. 2000/Jan. 2001. A lot had changed and a lot still the same. Took my kids and my Dad who moved away in 1978, first to upstate NY and then to Nebraska near me in 1998. First time back to the island for me and for my Dad. First time there for my kids. Went to NYC with my son's H.S. choir for 4 days in 1999 and had a blast. Still found my way around the city. They sang as part of a mass choir at Carnegie Hall. Quite a trip.
Made another trip to L.I. in 2015 and looking forward to 2 more trips, one in late 2015 and another summer of 2016.
