Jane's Story
Life
After I graduated from high school in 1966, I worked in down town Atlanta, near where the Coca Cola Home office is located, at H. G. Hastings Seed Company. I married Tommy Curry in August 1967 and resigned from Hastings when my daughter, Christina was born in June of 1968. I had a son, Tommy Jr. in August of 1969. I did not return to full time work until Chris started the first grade and Tommy kindergarten in 1974.
At that time, I went to work for Cotton States Insurance Company as an automobile rater coder. Six and a half years later, I transferred to the Crop Department as a statistical accounting clerk. In that department, I became an Underwriter trainee, was promoted to an Underwriter, and than Senior Underwriter/Agent Trainer.
In February of 1993, Tommy and I divorced. In August of that same year, I met Billy Sanders. In 1998, Cotton States sold their Crop Insurance business to Blakely Crop Hail, Inc. out of Topeka KS. I was with them until our office closed the end of 2004 due to a merger.
In 1997 Billy and I were married. I have posted our picture at this site. We together, have eleven grandchildren. Eight boys ages 18 months to fifteen years old, a granddaughter who is five and one step-granddaughter who has graduated from High School and Army Boot Camp. le has chosen to server her country.
Billy & I love to dance to country music, which I started in 1992 and he started after we met. We also like Karaoke. Like I told someone, Karaoke does not take talent, it takes guts.
We attend Vining 1st Baptist Church in Smyrna. We have been blessed. We would love to see you there too.
I currently have a postion with the American Heart Association as an Executive Assistant, and I teach a Defensive Driving Class twice a month. At the AHA I supported two different Vice Presidents, before being assigned to the Vice President of the Atlanta Heart Ball.
At the Heart Assocation I feel as though I found a job worth having. I know that our hard work helps to save lives. I feel that way because my father died at 52 from complications related to a stroke and I have an aunt who has been in a nursing home for years after having one too. I've learned a lot about staying healthy at the AHA.
The Defensive Driving class helps me to keep up my training skill and I hopefully help the students to change their driving habits before they become just another death statistic.
I am politically conservative and am in favor of a candidate who will secure our borders and support the Fair Tax Act.
I hope that the result of my life will be a positive impact on the life of others.
