Jane's Story
My story is that I married my high school sweetheart, John Wallace, and we have two daughters living in California. Both are in the education field, the oldest, Kerry, is a middle school assistant principal, who gifted us with our prides and joys - twins - a boy and girl, Kristen and Noah - 6 years-old. Our youngest daughter, Katie, is a HS English and ESL teacher and she and her sister live in the same town and are best friends. John is a Landscape Architect (LSU grad) and I am an English teacher - HS. However, my kids became teachers before I did! I have only been teaching 7 years! We live in a tiny town called Brazoria, Texas on the San Bernard River. We have a boat and...Expand for more
a big screened porch, and a gazebo/deck that we can enjoy when the mosquitoes aren't too vicious. We're both still working and haven't set a retirement date. I can't quite see myself not working yet; I still enjoy what I do immensely; John, not so much -- he'd like to be crabbin or fishin' off the dock instead of driving into Houston every day.
I have such fond memories of High School days -- even Elementary School days since I lived in Broadmoor from 4-12th grades. I seem to have a steel trap memory of the silliest things like when Debbie Lynn fell and broke her arm, she cried out, "Help, Murder, Police!" I have tons of silly trivia trapped and taking up space in my mind!
