Janet's Story
After graduating in 1976, I joined the Air Force and served 9 years at Travis AFB, CA, Langley AFB, VA and March AFB, CA. I had the opportunity to spend time in Colorado and have since always longed for life in Colorado. I prefer the dry climate and culture there. After separating from the Air Force I worked for industry in CA for a year before returning home to VA. I then entered civil service with the Air Force at Langley AFB and built a home in Sleepy Lake. ion at Langley AFB. I lived in Western Branch while my daughter finished high school and then moved to Newport News. I am married and have one child. My daughter, now 22 is graduating from VCU Richmond and will likely pursue her Masters in NYC or London. I imagine after she settles I will likely return to Colorado to live. I have had an eventful, challenging and exciting life thus far and consider myself blessed for the many rewarding experiences. I enjoy my career, home remodeling, music, reading and flipping homes. I currently spend time with my sister and her three youngest children.
