Janet's Story
I had spent all my life at our home on Cornelia Avenue, up until my family moved to northern California (Siskiyou County is REALLY northern) after my freshman year at Caruthers Union High School. I never stopped missing my childhood friends from the San Joaquin Valley.
Life took me to San Jose, CA (1967), then BACK to the Fresno area (1968-1969) then to Chico, CA. From Chico in 1971, I moved to the Silicon Valley(Sunnyvale/MountainView/San Jose) where I lived and worked for 8 years.

d retired. We had two sons (1981 and 1983) and ended up moving again to Grants Pass, then to Medford, OR.
I have worked for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for 26+ years. After my father died in 1999, my husband, sons and I combined households with my mother. We shared our lives in this way, watching out for and caring for each other for the next 10 years until she passed away in 2009.
After many busy, hectic, and often difficult years, my husband Dan and I are taking a deep breath and looking forward to enjoying our "old age" together.
