Janet's Story
Life
I've been married for 27 years, have 3 children: Josh (26), Aubrey (23) and Christina (20) as of 2005. Josh has 2 degrees from UNC-Wilmington in Philosophy and Religion. He's currently a real estate investor with his dad and owns a mosquito misting company. Aubrey is a certified massage thereapist and due to shoulder injury, is account manager for our company. Christina is currently working on as associates degree from the Community College and plans to attend Savannah College of Art & Design in January and pursue a degree in Graphic Design.
In August,2005 my husband and I are hopping on our his & hers Harley Davidson Road King Classics for a 5 week trip across this great country of ours. We'll head out west on a northerly route and return on a southerly route stopping at such places as Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, The Alamo, etc. Next spring (2006) look for us to hit the Northeast. Look out Tully - here we come!! We'll stop in and say hi to the Winslows up there on Sky High Rd. We'll go from Niagra Falls to the Adirondacks. Ain'...Expand for more
t Life Grand!!! We plan on making it a missons trip as well - helping out those in need we meet along the way.
Workplace
I worked at First Union Bank as a secretary in Charlotte went we were early in our marriage. After a second child, I didn't want to work to pay for daycare so I cleaned private homes to fill in income. I taught Home Ec at a small Christian school as well as coach Basketball there. When we moved to Wilmington, I helped my husband start our business. He would travel and get accounts. I would do engraving while he was gone as well as basic office work - accounts payable, receiving, etc. When the kids got too busy with school, sports, etc. I quit to help them. One daughter played club soccer and AAU basketball so we travelled all over NC playing various sports. Since they've all graduated, we built a new house and I spend my time cleaning and doing yard work. When that's over, I relax by our pool with a waterfall to remind me of the mountains of Asheville. The mountains were the best part of Asheville. I spent alot of time hiking by myself.
