Janet's Story

Seems hard to believe that THS has been in the past for 38 years (is that really possible)??? Have been living in Spokane, WA for 17 years now. I have 3 grown sons (age 36, 35 and 26) and 4 beautiful granddaughters. My oldest son and his wife are parents to 3 of those girls and living in Lakewood, CA. Son #2 lives in Spokane and has a daughter (almost 2 yrs.) Son #3 is still single. I remarried in 2004 to a wonderful man, Larry, and we're still on our honeymoon (and always will be)! I have 2 bonus children (1 son and 1 daughter) ages 29 & 27 AND 2 more grandchildren (girl - age 3 yrs. and boy age 11 mos). I just LOVE being a grandma! It's such a privilege and reward after parenthood! I have worked in the healthcare field in a variety of positions for 28 years at Children's Hospital of Orange County, City of Hope and currently am a cancer program coordinator at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA and have worked in t...Expand for more
his hospital off and on for the past 17 years. I absolutely love my job and plan to stay until I retire! My husband and I enjoy travel (been to Italy, Germany and England in the last 18 months). I am a certified scuba diver and really enjoy that activity, especially in the Caribbean! My husband's family has a lake cabin at Priest Lake Idaho, so we try to visit when we can - it's truly a piece of heaven on earth. Golf is my favorite outdoor activity - if I didn't work, I think I would play every day...someday I will. I sing in a quartet at St. Peter's Catholic Church at Mass on Sunday mornings. God is an essential part of my life each and every day - can't imagine what it would be like without Him. I feel truly blessed with a second chance at love after 50 with a man who is truly my dream (and he's younger too). I have good health, a wonderful career and a loving husband and family to share life with - who could ask for more?
