Janet's Story
Life
We (husband Jim and I) live in Granite City. We have 1 pet -- a cat named Belle. I retired in 1991, but have worked part time most of the time since then (can't stand to stay home all of the time). Looking forward to my final retirement at the end of this year, after which Jim and I will probably do a lot more traveling. I keep busy with sewing (my favorite and most enduring hobby) and my grandsons, 6 and 11. They also live in GC, so I get to see them frequently. Daughter Colleen is a Chiropractor and teacher; son-in-law Glen is a Business Unit Leader for a division of Emerson Electric. Jim is the Emergency Services and Disaster Agency Coordinator for GC. I work for an insurance agent/mutual funds salesman.
