Janet's Story
My current age is 68. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be totally uninteresting. I was so completely wrong.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fine idea. I earned a teaching certificate, but never worked in that field.
My first job was at a mental health center, where I got paid $5000 per year to work in a day treatment program. What I remember most about it is the amazing things I learned ab...Expand for more
out people, most of all myself. I spent 18 years working in the mental health system and earned a masters degree.
At age 50 I began working at Father Bakers. Of all the children in WNY my parents never threatened me with being sent to Father Bakers. But thats were I spent the last 15 years of my working life. lol
I am now retired and loving it. My husband and I love to travel with our trailer and ride on our Harley Trike, Grandkids are GREAT! I am a WoWhead.
