Janet's Story
I grew up in Leesburg and Staunton, VA. After graduating from R.E. Lee high school, I moved to Charlottesville to continue my education and I worked at Charlottesville Airport. I married and lived in Free Union/Albemarle County where my three children were raised. I chose to divorce and enjoy a great friendship with my former spouse. an my second career as a small farmer and beekeeper. Water in any form is still my thing and I enjoy downhill skiing, scuba diving, body surfing at the beach, and running around in the rain. I enjoy learning basic life skills like organic gardening and preserving what I have grown. Hmmmmm, next year, if I have time, I may tackle raising chickens! ;P I still raise orchids, am a grandmother, and give back to my community by volunteering and serve/d on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
