Janet's Story

If I follow the Story Wizard, I'm supposed to write about how old friends remember me. Since none of my friends are 'old', I can't answer this question! If am to suppose that my friends from high school ever recall my behavior, then I'd have to say that they would faintly recall the redhead who preferred to stay on the fringes of any group, observing and occasionally joining in the lunacy of the day/night's activities. Story Wizard now says to fill in the blanks: I always wanted to be a..... Social Worker. My friends and family thought that was a .....Ridiculous idea. As it turns out they were.... WRONG! I'm not officially a social worker, but pretty darned close! How do I blow off steam? Dig in the dirt and grow things. Go out in the woods. Get on the water. Turn the music up loud. Wildest thing I did in high school. I'm definitely not sharing that/those things, and the people who were there will definitely remember! (Robin T, Jeri A, Julie E, Jeff B, Jeff P, Mickey T, Lori M - the Big 10 too...)Yikes! I have lived in Salem, Turner, Oakland Oregon, Henderson, Nevada and am back in Keizer! My obsessions: my family. My friends. My house and garden. Biggest surpr...Expand for more
ise in my life: if you raise kids to be independent free thinking individuals, they do it, and then they don't listen to their mother anymore! :) If I could remodel my home, I'd do the kitchen cause mine is impossible. That's it. Which teacher would I love to see again? Wow, that's hard. I really loved Mademoiselle Wilson, Mr. Hansen, Herr Boost and Mr. Barker. I am working with Mr. Backlund right now! To be truly happy, what would I be doing? Well, I was truly happy last Sunday. In the morning, I was in sailing lessons on the Willamette, gliding over the water, hearing the wind rush by the sails. In the evening, I was driving a huge Farmall tractor holding my 16 month old grandson and hearing him laugh. What more could a person ask for? Career Aspirations: serve. Help people. Oh wait.... that's what I'm doing now! Style: Still living on the edge of hippie land. Love jeans and flipflops and big linen shirts. Dress clothes are a reality and a necessity but sure would rather be in comfy clothes. Story Wizard says : You get one do-over, what would you do differently? Education! Finish a degree. So Story Wizard says to tell McNary 74 hello and wish you well - Janet
