More about Janet:"I've been married for 29 years, and have a 27 year old daughter. I also have a 31 year old "adopted" daughter, courtesy of my husband, lol and a 14 year old granddaughter. I love all three girls very much and I enjoy spending time with all of them.
I enjoy camping with my husband at the deer lease and riding 4-wheelers. I love to spend money. It really does not matter what I am shopping for. I enjoy it all.
Things at the Lavergne house have changed alot since I last updated this. My 22 yr. old daughter has moved out to Lake Charles and changed schools. It sure is different without her at home. Some things have not change...Expand for more
d, she still washes her clothes at my house, and she is always looking for food. Gotta luv those "grown-up" kids :). She will be graduating in December, 2010 from McNeese with a Nursing Degree. We are very proud of her. She has benn through hell and back, but she is a much STRONGER person for it.
My 26 year old is an Administrator. We are very proud of her as well. She has beat the odds as a single mother and is doing very well for herself and her little girl.
I have been working for the State of Louisiana for 30 years. I started in Lafayette, worked for 2 years here, then worked in Baton Rouge for 2 years. Then I came to work for the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. I started in the bookstore, worked there for 10 years, then went to Continuing Education for 4 years, then came to work for the Math Department. I have been here for 12 years. This is were I plan to retire. I can do that May 1st of this year, but think I will go on the DROP program for 3 years, then decide what I will do with the rest of my life. Maybe, if I am lucky, my girls will get married and have grandbabies for me to take care of.".
