Janet's Story

Jim Dear and I were married on Aug 14, 1983 and have been together ever since. I attribute this to our relationship with God and a great church family and frriends. We attend Altamont Christian Church in Altamont Il where another K-A High graduate is the minister, remember Shannon Bopp? Yelp he is the minister there and has an awesome passion for reaching and leading the lost. Our oldest daughter Trista is a "Mom" which makes me a "Granny" Trista married Dave Altman in Jan of 06 and she and Dave graduated from St Louis Christian college, Trista with an Assoc in Arts and Dave in preaching ministry. He is now a youth minister in Boyd Il at Boyd Christian Church. Mitchell David is one year old and a real treat! Our only son Tyler will be married this year in July to the love of his life, Heather Leann Jones from Louisville. n Mom made you take are finally paying off huh Tyler) He is currently the youth minister at Ramsey Christian Church in Ramsey. Our youngest Terah Jo will be a senior at South Central but she keeps us hoping!! She is our drama queen.. really . She loves performming arts and musical plays. She has been to Montana at a theaterical camp and this summer she will travel for 3 weeks with Ozark Christian College performing a music and drama show back to Montana! We are blessed. After being an agent for insurance I left the stress and hasel of that to be a bus driver and kitchen helper at South Central school. I really enjoy the kids and try to be an encouragement to them all. It really is rewarding. Not much money but when you can give a kid a pat on the back and maybe help change a bad circumstance into a positive one,that is priceless! Just slowing down and stopping to smell the roses is what I am doing and its great! Try it!
