Janet's Story
That's me on the left with my brother, Wes, and sister, Shirley. We were celebrating my dad's 93rd birthday on August 12, 2010. He is still at the top of his game; drives, takes care of a big yard, walks with friends at the mall everyday, and knows more about politics and the economy than most people. (a dedicated conservative) I'll add more pictures if I can figure out how to download them. This picture took me an hour! Seems I'm technology challenged.
Although I retired from the classroom four years ago after nearly thirty years as a teacher, I find it very hard to leave behind working with kids. nvironmental science program in the spring and score high school exit exams for Educational Testing Service. (Keeps me in touch with young people)
I attended the reunion for the class of '59 last year and hope to be there in October for the class of '60. It is wonderful to revisit friends and share memories. If anyone knows the whereabouts of E.J. Nacthwey, the band teacher, there are some of us that would like to hear from him. Band provided many happy, challenging, crazy events during our high school years. I think he might have transferred to Quartz HIll at one time.
I read with interest the antics of the Spanish class on their trips to Mexico during spring break and lament that I took Latin. DARN! They really kept that a secret.
