Janet's Story
After graduation I briefly attended Principia College (Illinois) then transferred to California Whiestern University in San Diego for two and a half years, then transferred again to San Diego State for another year and a half. I then moved to Los Angeles and worked in the offices of an international tour operator. Soon after, I was married. When my husband got an accounting job at Deutsch Corp. in Banning we moved to Redlands, where I have remained. second husband in 1980; he died in 1990. In 1972 I went to work for Chuck Irvin (our classmate) in the veterinary practice he shared with his father, where I continued working until 1999. Following that I worked for 10 years in administrative support for Redlands-Yucaipa Guidance Clinic Assn. That business failed in the economic crisis of 2009 and I was laid off; whereupon I decided to retire. I am active in the P.EO. sisterhood and enjoy getting together with friends whenever I can. I love to travel, read, knit and cook.
