Janet's Story

Life After marrying my husband, Ken, I moved from Jacksonville to Ohio to work for General Motors. Thirty years flew by in a job I loved even though it ws physically very hard. I retired in 1998 moving to Las Vegas. For 5 years I worked as a Security Officer. Now, I am finally retired from all paying employement and busier than ever. I have met one of my childhood friends through Classmates and I am daily contact with her. She even drove out here from Jax to take a Harley ride with us to Lake Tahoe. Eight years ago I started riding a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and have made several 3,000 + mile trips on it, One from Ohio to Florida and one from here to florid...Expand for more
a. Due to many wonderful actvities out here I have quit riding and sold my Harley. I can always ride whith Ken when the urge strikes. My youngest daughter is active duty Air Force stationed in Dayton, Ohio My youngest son, Tim, lives here in Las Vegas and has his own very small company. My oldest son, Joe, shares a home with Tim and also works for him. I have joined the Red Hat Society and find myslef involved in many strange and different adventures with them. In 2004 I took lessons to learn to play Mah Jongg and now am involved in a weekly game. A few of us from the MJ group are taking various art lessons during the year. This is it for now.
