Janet's Story
After I graduated from East Forsyth, I attended the University of NC at Charlotte for a number of years and then transferred to Bennett College in Greensboro where I graduated with a Batchelor of Science degree in mathematics. I worked for Douglas Battery in Winston-Salem where I met my ex-husband. I got a job in Raleigh with the U.S.Postal Service as an MPLSM distribution clerk in 1987 and got married in 1988. for a transfer and moved to South Florida in September of 2003, working at the Miami Processing and Distribution Center as a Maintenance Custodian. Presently I live in Hialeah, Florida, which is near Miami and still work for the Postal Service as a Maintenance Support Clerk in Miami. I travel to NC at least 2 times a year to see my parents, who live in Siler City, and my sister--who graduated from East Forsyth in 1977--who is married with two grown sons and lives in Raleigh.
