Janet's Story

How do you catch someone up on 45 years? Highlights: * I became a Christian in 1969 after a year in Vietnam with the Red Cross running rec centers and visiting G.I.s in the field. * Married Gary Traviss in 1973. * Our daughter Becky was born in 1976. * Gary died suddenly in 1980 and my life fell apart. But God is good. * I worked in ministry with single mom families for twelve yea...Expand for more
rs; then for the last 10+ years with a Christian organization that helps churches help people in need. * I retire the end of June:) Won't, however, stop working with people. * Never remarried but am blessed by a diverse network of wonderful friends and a delightful daughter who is going on her tenth year of marriage with a dear man. * I sure hope we have a 50th reunion in 2012.
