Janet's Story
Life
Married John Phillips (NHHS '62) the year after I graduated from college with degree in Physical Therapy. Lived in Virginia while John got his MBA. Moved to Tulsa, OK for 3 yrs. then back to VA to Richmond area. Had our daughter in '70 and adopted our son in '78 at age of 3. Have hosted numerous international students since 1990; daughter married one of our German "sons". They have 2 precious kids whom they are raising bilingually and live nearby. Our son and his wife and their son live in Charlotte, NC. John has retired from the administrative end of the printing industry but is busier than ever coaching young men as they get fledgling companies up on their feet. He is such a gift to them!
Jeannette and I are still super close and able to see each other often. She lives in Brussels. Both of us are hoping for a Class of '64 reunion ANY year...Expand for more

Addendum, May '07: Have had the more recent Joy of being able to travel to Wales every few months for the last year or so as I serve on staff with Community Bible Study International to plant or 'birth' CBSI studies in my ancestral homeland. Too wonder-full!!
Whenever Jeannette (NHHS Foreign Exchange student from The Netherlands) and I get to see each other, we still savor the memories of our days in New Hartford. Typically I get back to NH only once a year (usually May/June) when I bring my mother up to visit her brother. As they both get more frail, I wonder how many more years we'll be making that journey. I love to drive the old familiar streets and thank the Lord for so much that was given to all of us to share. We have been and are so Blessed.
