Hi! This is Janette (Chandler)Starks from the class of 1975. By this time (2008) I thought I would be the owner and CEO of a rehabilitation center. My educational goal was to obtain a BS and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. I went to Virginia Commonwealth in Richmond, Virginia in 75'. I didn't stay long(only 3 months - homesick) and then I found myself at good ole Nassau Community College. I recieved my AS degree and headed for Howard University. My goal once again was to obtain a BS degree in Occupational Therapy. Long story short I never did complete that goal. Instead I recieved and finally answered the call to ministry. You see I gave my life to Jesus(Yashua) on April 3, 1979 in a rather dramatic and quite supernatural event. I found out what "love" really is that day. God made Himself and His Love real to me. my life has not been the same... I was ordained as a Teacher/Counselor in 1986 and as a Pastor in 1999. The Lord blessed me with my soulmate and the love of my life, Joseph, to whom I have been married for the past 22 years. We have two children, Maya (20) and Micah(14) and we are the pastors of 'The House of David Worship Center' here in Dayton, Ohio. My life is full, peaceful and joyful. I am truely a happy individual.
Do you know Jesus? He loves you sooo very much. If you want to know Him just reach out. Ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior right now and He will! Just mean it in your heart. He's been waiting just for you. Recieve Him now OK. Believe me. He is the one you have been looking for all your life. Only He can fill the empty spot in your soul that nonthing and no one else can fill. He did it for me. I'm a witness of His love.
