Jani Edwards:  

Life Graduated in 3 years from Azle and went to Howard Payne. Had fun traveling with HPU band for a year where Greg Berry was the director. Married Mickey in 1973 and finished 3 more years at HPU. Started teaching at Lampasas High School in Aug. 1976. Daughter, Caety, was born in 1979 and son, Reagan, followed in 1981. In addition to teaching, kids, and more college, we owned a lumber/hardware business from 1981-1987. 1988 Mickey and I both decided to get a Masters in Educational Administration w/ Mid-management cert. from Univ. of North TX. We really enjoyed the 3 summers we spent in Denton. After 15 years of teaching I changed jobs but stayed at LHS. I'm a campus administrator at LHS. Just about anything that deals with paper work, I do. Master Schedule, student schedules, parent orientation, student handbook, course descriptions, report cards, student eligibility, etc. etc. Some of my co-workers think I'm nuts because I still enjoy what I do. Every week someone says "I wouldn't want your job!." I'm lucky since I have good administrators who appreciate what I do. Still enjoy working with kids and faculty and feel like I've made a difference to a lot of them over the years. Both our kids are married. We have 2 grandkids that live here so they're great fun. Almost 32 years of marriage and looking forward to about 50 more. We have wonderful friends in Lampasas. ...Expand for more
