Janice's Story
Sadly, Jan was diagnosed with stage4 non-small-cell lung cancer in December 2008. Her oncologist said on average people with her cancer in stage 4 could expect no more than 1-2 months of life. After 18 weeks of chemo, 60 radiation treatments, numerous transfusions and infusions, she quietly and calmly passed away in her sleep the morning of 5 August 2009.

two sons, Michael and Stephen; 3 granddaughters, Candace, Brittany, and Samanthe; and 1 grandson, Jackson. Our great-grandson Caiden was born to Candace and her husband Christopher on 5 December 2009.
Words cannot express our sense of loss. Janice Lee Rackley Barton was one of a kind, a unique individual if one ever lived. She was deeply loved her family and friends. We morn her passing every day!
