Janice's Story
Life
After I graduated from Elgin High School, I went to Knox College in Galesburg, IL. I intended to major in International Relations, but ended up getting a degree in Psychology. During the summer after my freshman year, I lived with a family in Costa Rica. Then I spent my junior year attending a university through a study abroad program in Besancon, France. Then I lived with a family in Algeria for six months. Worked at a French commercial bank in Chicago for almost three years, then went to graduate school in Washington, DC. My degree was in International Development (developing third world countries), with a specialization in Environment and Development (I wanted to save the rain forests). Worked for environmental consulting firms here in Chicago for six years. The salaries aren't very large in the ...Expand for more
environmental field - I had to change direction to be able to pay my bills. So I've been working in the computer department of a manufacturing company for the last five years. Never married - haven't been able to find "the one" yet. I have two nieces that I've spent a lot of time with over the years. I love dancing - swing dancing and salsa. I take a lot of classes - dance classes, computer classes, classes at the Morton Arboretum, etc. I have a home in Streamwood. Hope everyone is doing well. Take care.
