Janice's Story
I truly can say that my 3 years at Oakdale were the 3 best years of my life. After graduation, I attended Fairmont State College and Spring Arbor College. I studied Accounting and worked at various jobs in motorcycle and auto dealerships. several different hospitals, school boards, and in construction with my husband after being married in 1971. I had a daughter (Teddi) in 1977. She attended Oakdale for 4 years, graduating in 1995. My husband died in 2010. I have 3 grandsons (8,12, & 16). For the last 19 years I have worked a part time summer job for a swimming pool chemical co. as an In Store Sales Rep. uction, being a mom, being a care giver for both of my parents, and being involved with the church. I experienced much stress in my marriage. Since 2011, I have enjoyed traveling in the winter months to family and friends who live in the south so I can escape WV's harsh winters. I am so thankful to God who has brought me through so much, saw my tears, loved me always, and still takes care of me to this very day. He 's the reason I can have a smile on my face and enjoy life. I am thankful for good health also. I just had my second knee replacement and am looking forward to walking without pain. It would be GREAT to hear from other graduates and fellow classmates to hear of your life's journey.
